Catapult Workshop

Students will learn about the history and principles of catapults, then use simple materials (like wood, rubber bands, and stones) to assemble their own catapults and experience the fun of operating ancient siege weapons.

Sundial Workshop

Students will learn about the principles and history of sundials, and then create a simple sundial themselves to experience how ancient people used sunlight to tell time.

DIY Bow and Arrow Workshop

Students will first learn about the materials for making bows and arrows (such as wood and bowstrings) and then follow steps to create their own bows and arrows. Finally, they can practice archery in a safe environment to experience the skills of ancient hunting and combat.

Chinese Knotting

Each basic knot is named according to its shape and meaning. Different knots can be combined with each other or paired with other auspicious patterned decorations. Combinations like "Double Happiness," "Blessings of Longevity," and "Good Fortune" can be used to express blessings or prayers.

Papermaking Workshop

Students will learn about the history and basic principles of papermaking, using natural materials (such as bark, straw, or old paper) to create their own paper. By crafting their unique handmade paper, they will understand its applications and artistic value.

Tie-Dye Workshop

Students will learn about the history of tie-dye and various dyeing techniques. They will then use fabric, dyes, and tie-dye techniques to create unique patterns and colors, experiencing the joy of color and creativity.

Kongming Lock Workshop

Students will learn about the history and principles of the Kongming lock and then attempt to solve this traditional wooden puzzle. Through continuous trial and thinking, students will enhance their problem-solving skills and enjoy the fun of puzzling.

Printing Workshop

Students will learn about the history and basic principles of printing. They will then use wooden blocks, ink, and paper to create their own printed works, experiencing the charm of ancient printing techniques.

Lantern Making Workshop

Students will learn about the history and cultural significance of lanterns. They will then use paper, bamboo, or other craft materials to design and create their own lanterns, experiencing the festive atmosphere and the joy of creation.
